Protect Yourself Online - Oct 2025

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and at NGFCU, your security is always our top priority. With cyber threats becoming more sophisticated every year, it’s important to stay informed and take proactive steps to safeguard your personal and financial information.

Simple Steps to Strengthen Your Security

  1. Use Strong, Unique Passwords – Create passwords that are long, unique, and hard to guess. Avoid using the same password for multiple accounts and update them regularly.
  2. Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) – Whenever possible, turn on MFA. This extra layer of security ensures that even if someone steals your password, they can’t access your account without a second verification step.
  3. Be Cautious with Email and Links – Phishing scams are one of the most common ways cybercriminals gain access to information. Don’t’ click on suspicious links or open attachments form unknown senders.
  4. Monitor Your Accounts Frequently – Regularly check your financial accounts for unusual transactions. The sooner you spot suspicious activity, the faster it can be resolved.

Our Commitment to Your Security

We’re committed to protecting your accounts and keeping your financial information safe. If you ever suspect suspicious behavior or if one of your other online accounts has been breached – please contact us right away at 800.633.2848 or fraud@ngfcu.us.

We’re here to help you take the right steps to secure your accounts and your peace of mind.
